    No, the lightning connector of this NEW unit is 4mm longer than IM001 (1st generation). So it will be compatible with most of iOS device with case. You are kindly suggested to take the thick phone case off if necessary, such as Otter box case.

    Actually, our product is MFI certificated. So it will work prefectly with MFI certificated phone case. And the lightning connector of this unit is a little longer than IM001 (1st generation). Please note: Apple company has limitation to their product accessories.     A: Because you can't transfer more than 4GB file in FAT32 files system. Just format it to exFAT. And please note, Apple computer can read the exFAT files as well.

    A: Hi Karen, sorry, this flash drive only can work with iOS devices that have lightning port and run iOS 8.0 and later. Even with a connector adapter, older iOS devices can not work with it. Thank you!

    A: Yes, I am using a different model of device with the same IPLUGMATE software and you can open PDF, Doc, Movie in a phone based app, rather than the built-in basic dongle apps. However, I think it offers to send it to any of the 40 or 80 apps on your phone, not just the relevant ones.
